Some Question’s to Consider Before Purchasing a Puppy

House, condo, apartment?

Do you have an open yard for the puppy to play and run around in? 

This is to ensure the puppy, and while growing up, has enough space to walk or run around in. 

If you are renting a place, please make sure with the landlord pets are OK.

Is there a well-rated vet in your area?

As well as an emergency animal hospital; just in case.

Have you thought of or already researched some pet insurance plans? Accidents or health problems can occur anytime no matter how careful we may be - things happen! It’s always a good idea to have an insurance plan for your fury friend to help with any doctor visits.

Will there be a primary care taker for the first year with the puppy?

Will anyone be home during the day or night to keep watch for the first year?

Who will care for the puppy on a daily basis? We just want to make sure our puppies don’t stay lonely. Besides, Golden‘s are major loving family dogs!

Will there be someone to feed and provide fresh water during the day? We highly recommend a pet water dispenser - available at pet mart or amazon. 

Will someone be available to help exercise (walk, or go for runs) during anytime of the day?

Do you have any children? Are they OK with dogs? Golden’s are pure loving family dogs.

Do you have a fenced yard or a suitable, big play pen for the puppy for when someone is not home?

Bringing home a pet is almost like having a child. Be sure to block off fireplaces, any loose wires, place all harmful fluids, disinfectants and medicine away from puppy’s view point.
